tmbt: chord progressions

The unfolding of chord progressions like the opening of a peony by ants. Slowly, steadily, winning the race and saving the soul. A group of papers with your penmanship in flats and sevenths and snuggles and rain. The devil’s interval falling short of it’s calling but rising high to meet the moment. V7 of IV and a relative 2nd. Minor motion and major lift up up up until the balloon cannot be distinguished from the sky. Then, a postcard sent from the first port of the new world gives word that there is a place for the movement and rise just behind the tongue, the balloon deflated and taped onto the card stock.

There is a place for moments like this and though it takes reservations, it prefers you to walk right in singing the tonic behind a secondary dominant pull with the help of three little steps to the left. We sit on our own fringe and take notice of the center tones with eyes filled to the brim and overflowing with heart and wonder.
