tmbt: nothing to steal
Yesterday I walked from the farmer’s market where I had done some shopping up to a friend’s house where I had left my car the previous evening after opting for a cab home instead. It was a beautiful, quiet, simple walk. I was surprised upon approaching my car that I had left the sunroof open. Then, when I got inside, I found piles of papers from the console and glove box strewn about and the glove box wide open. It seems someone rummaged through my car overnight. Nothing seemed to be missing and I hadn’t had any cash in the car, so no harm and not losing anything of value is a good thing, maybe even beautiful.
It is a little weird to know someone I didn’t know and will probably never meet was sitting in my car and going through my things.
